“You shall have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20:3
Who sits at the throne of your heart? This was a question that Holy-Spirit gently whispered. It's important that we take time every once in a while to evaluate our heart and see who holds the prominence in our heart. Imagine for a minute a room full of chairs and at a prominent place of our heart there is also a throne. In each of these chairs, there are different values that belong to them. Starting from friendships, relationships, family, work, goals, future, money, success, health, and more. But there is only one throne and who you let sit on that place matters.
Evaluating is quite important because often we end up removing God off that throne and we end up giving it to other things. Who is seated at the throne of your heart is one of the most important questions we got to ask in life.
Why do you think families fall apart, people give up on life and people experience brokenheartedness in relationships? When we mess up with the God-given order and replace it with our understanding on who should sit on the throne of your heart we are automatically giving an open invitation to downfall.
It's beautiful when everything is revolving around God of the bible who is seated at the centre of your heart. What is more beautiful than having the omniscient God in control of all the areas of our life.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Today's I pray that we will not focus on the God who is seated on the throne. Let's adore Him and love Him. Even as we do that lets no forget the promise of God for those who seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
