Welcome to another Christ over everything series. Growing old can come with many challenges, one such challenge is to face certain questions in life. We have questions in every stage of our life. Everyone has questions starting from a school going kid to an adult who thinks he/she has figured life out. When some questions can be easy, there are others that are difficult. In pursuit of trying to figure out the answer to the questions, many people take roads that are dangerous. My job is to help you introduce you to a road that is not like every other road. You will start walking on this road and be able to figure out answers to some of the most difficult questions life throws at you.
John 14:6
“Lord,” said Thomas, “we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way? ”Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
What are some of the most difficult questions you have faced in your life?
Take a moment and why don't you lay that questions down right now. I don't know what your questions are but I surely believe it's an important question! It can be a deep philosophical question or a simple question about your everyday life.
A man with a question
Gospel of John chapter 3 has an amazing story of a man called Nicodemus. He was a Pharisees and a ruler of the Jews. He had a question and that was an important question. The question was to do with the divinity of Jesus Christ. The challenge was, he was a pharisee. When all the other Pharisees were stubborn about not believing in the message of Jesus, he wanted to know the answers to his questions. He came by one night to meet with Jesus and ask him those questions.
Nicodemus was honestly seeking God. Although in the beginning, it was difficult for Nicodemus to believe in the divinity of Jesus, we can see the same man mentioned in the later portions of the scripture. There was a time when he defended Jesus among the Pharisees (John 7:50). Another time, he honoured Jesus on His burial by bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes.
John 19:39
...Pilate gave him permission, so he came and removed His(Jesus') body. Nicodemus, who had previously come to Jesus at night, also brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds. So they took the body of Jesus and wrapped it in linen cloths with the spices, according to the Jewish burial
It's amazing that Nicodemus by the time of Jesus' burial was bold enough to publically reveal what he now believed. Just as Nicodemus was thrown with his life's most difficult question, we too can have questions. To do what Nicodemus did is the right thing to do. When we have questions in life go to the right person who has the answers to all the questions of our life.
Jeremiah 33:3
‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
This is one of my favourite verses from the Bible. Apparently, this talks about who can give us the answers to our simplest and to the most challenging questions of life. Have you been calling to all the wrong places for an answer?
Well, to find real purpose and satisfaction in life, go to the right source. Everything else will only disappoint you. Money, relationship, people, and even religion or traditions may not be able to give you the purpose and the answer. Know today that you can find answers that are satisfyingly good when you call on to the God of the Bible.
Matthew 7:7-12
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
All I wanted to do in this blog was to introduce you to a road that has all the answers to your questions. Lay your question down, write then down and call to the one who will not turn a deaf ear to you. I hope you were blessed.
Thank you for taking the time to read. If you were blessed, help me by sharing this content to others too. God bless you!
