Part 5: Abba celebrates your every step.

On that day the announcement to Jerusalem will be,

“Cheer up, Zion! Don’t be afraid!

For the Lord your God is living among you.

He is a mighty Savior.

He will take delight in you with gladness.

With his love, he will calm all your fears.

He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

For the Lord, your God is living among you.

-Zephaniah 3:16-17

I'm amazed at the thought of what extent our Father in heaven goes in order to celebrate His dear children. Your every step matters to Abba. It does not always have to be something as big as quitting a Job for ministry or leaving a comfort zone and moving to a new place as an obedience to God's voice.

It can be even little things that you do with all of your heart. God celebrates even the fact you put on a smile regardless of your circumstances. God celebrates how you choose to confess your deepest struggle to him and come back to His presence. For God, there is nothing more joyful than seeing his beautiful creation being one with His heart.

Zephaniah 3:17 depicts a God who rejoices over you with joyful songs. He takes delight in you with Gladness. He does not want you to worry or panic, rather tells the people to be calm and not to be afraid. He says, "cheer up Zion!"

I love this picture of God cheering for Zion. Sounds like a father cheering for his son at the football game. There are times in life, everything around us turns so silent that we hear no one cheering or celebrating us. The one voice that won't stop is our Abba's voice that says, Cheer up!

He celebrates you because you are his Son/Daughter

On my previous day's blog "Quit the delay" I wrote about the lost son who came back to his father. He returned so that he could get the least work possible in his father's house. His hope was only to get a decent meal.

As he came back to his father he thought of a rather abrupt reaction. To his amazement, it was instead a loving arm around him and the warmth of a loving father.

It's amazing that God has His ways of surprising us. We are under the assumption that God will celebrate us when we take those massive steps of faith like, "raise a dead" or "fast 40 days". But wait a second! God celebrated when a messed up soul showed up looking for a change?

When the Lost son was all focused on how terrible and ugly he was and how much he messed up. His father was focused on a son and a heart that wanted to change.

God doesn't necessarily celebrate you for what you have accomplished. Instead, He celebrates you for who you are in Him. It's you who matters more than where you reached in life or who you have become. The biggest reason God celebrates you is the fact that you are a son/daughter with a massive purpose in God.

Luke 15:22

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate.  For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

The celebration was because of the identity being restored, authority being bestowed and for a son who no longer a slave to sin.

Do you believe that you are a son/daughter? If yes! prepare your heart for joy and celebration. In Abba's house, there is no place for fear and misery.

As I conclude this series called, "Truth you can't take your eyes off" I believe that you won't take your eyes off the fact that God celebrates your small steps of faith. Abba is always there to cheer and celebrate you in your walk. Be it on the highest mountain or the lowest valley, He is with you today!

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

God bless. Thank you for taking the time to read.
